NW LUTB Division Directors:
Jon Meer and Kathleen McKenzie began serving alongside Kevin & Hope Kerkof in the early days of LUTB in 2008. They have faithfully served the homeless in Seattle consistently every Saturday with a homeless outreach where they provide food, clothing, and a way off the streets. They counsel the homeless, the sick, the addicts, and abused and offer them a life transformed through Jesus Christ-both spiritually and practically through a way off the streets.
Men's Director for LIGHTHOUSEWe are excited to announce that Jerry Thayer is the Men's Director for our LIGHTHOUSE! Jerry Thayer has served faithfully at discipleship recovery homes for 12 years. He has previously served as a men's leader in shelters, homeless outreach, and crisis intervention. Jerry has a calling and passion for sharing the love of Jesus and helping men transform their lives.
LUTB FOUNDERS/ SENIOR PASTORS:
Kevin & Hope Kerkof founded & developed Light Under The Bridge Homeless Ministry from the ground up in 2008. What began as a few sack lunches grew into a life transforming ministry. They counseled the homeless, the prisoners, the sick, and the addicts to transform their lives for Jesus. Visited the people on the streets, in hospitals, and in jails. In relationship with many recovery church home and various homeless resources, was able to successfully get many of the homeless off the streets, their lives turned to Jesus and get their overall lives back on track again with jobs, education, and reunited with their families. Now the LUTB headquarters is based in Bradenton, Florida where they are launching their latest vision for LUTB--LIGHTHOUSES, Faith Based Transitional Recovery Homes to create a way off the streets for those whose lives are in crisis through homelessness, addiction, and abuse.
