***MISSIONARY HOUSE MOM FOR WOMEN'S LIGHTHOUSE*** SEEKING A MATURE CHRISTIAN WOMAN OR MARRIED COUPLE TO VOLUNTEER AS A LIVE IN HOUSE MOM. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL ENCOURAGE AND PRAY WITH RESIDENTS OF OUR WOMEN'S LIGHTHOUSE, AND WILL BE A SUPPORT ROLE TO OUR WOMEN'S DIRECTOR.
***LIGHTHOUSE TREASURES THRIFT STORE MANAGER***-SEEKING VOLUNTEER STORE MANAGER. RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THE MONEY, RECORDS, MANAGEMENT OF OTHER STORE VOLUNTEERS, AND PROMOTIONS OF THE STORE. HOURS ARE TUES-SAT 10AM-6PM
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
We are so thankful for our volunteers and supporters! We invite you to please consider joining one of our expertise committees. As an expertise committee member, you are instrumental in helping to grow and sustain the vision God has placed on our hearts.
We anticipate that each committee will probably meet every 4 weeks and send a written summary of their meeting notes, agenda, and progress.
Please cut/paste/email in Contact Form, or Contact Us with message indicating the area you're interested in serving in. Once this questionnaire is returned, then we will contact you with the committee members announcement and begin to set up meetings.

o TEACHING COMMITTEE: this committee recommends and helps to establish & implement curriculum not only on the Bible and spiritual growth, but also ensures and establishes court recommended classes are offered (FIT curriculum-Florida State prison certified faith based curriculum on addictions, anger management, parenting, etc...), and establishes life skill courses opportunities for our resident's overall wholeness to participate in during their 2nd phase of recovery such as computer training, vocational school, etc...

o COUNSELING COMMITTEE: This committee is made up of not only pastoral counseling that is done on site at our lighthouses for residents who work in partnership with Pastor Kevin & Pastor Hope in their counseling efforts of residents, but also this committee is seeking to establish a group of certified state licensed Christian counselors in various areas of counseling from addictions, abuse, domestic violence, marriage, etc...that offer their services in their offices for free to our residents.

o BUSINESS/EMPLOYMENT COMMITTEE: this committee's responsibility is to network with various employers and create relationships of which employers are willing to hire our residents. This committee also helps our residents with resume writing and skill assessments.

o VOLUNTEER WORK THERAPY COMMITTEE: this committee's goal is to create various community opportunities that our residents can do volunteer work of which allows us to evaluate their next phase readiness for obtaining employment. This committee creates opportunities for our residents to learn job skills, get a work ethic, and just get used to waking up in the morning, being tasked out on an assignment, and learning to go to work & work with a good attitude, honesty, & integrity. This is essential BEFORE we can refer our residents to the Business/Employment Committee for job seeking assistance. Opportunities for Work Therapy include but are not limited to the thrift store, car washes, landscaping, house cleaning, etc..

o ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE: this committee seeks out and networks with various community events & organizations to get our residents tickets to partake in fun events. Various examples of activities might be bowling, miniature golf, Sarasota jungle gardens, or obtaining Christian Concert tickets through the Joy FM. This committee also creates free fun events for our residents such as picnics, beach outings, etc...

o VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE: this committee recruits and organizes volunteers who want to participate in Light Under The Bridge. This committee ensures volunteer relations, schedules, hours, logs/audits, waivers, and thank you appreciations.

o FOOD/SUPPLIES COMMITTEE: this committee networks & establishes relationships within the community for food resources for our residents (food banks, grocery stores), and also coordinates fulfillment of the Lighthouses' grocery, food, and supply needs. Various supplies are not always food related. For example, we often need office supplies such as paper, pencils, pens, ink cartridges, etc...a relationship with an Office Depot or Staples would be beneficial to this ministry.

o PRISON/JAIL COMMITTEE: this committee will be a team who are able to organize a list of our ex-residents and/or outreach relationships who are incarcerated and visit them in jail on a regular basis. This will begin the Light Under The Bridge Prison Ministry Division.

o OUTREACH COMMITTEE: this committee will be a team who will create regular routes to outreach to the homeless in Manatee County on a regularly scheduled, consistent manner. This will be a team who go into the camps, brings sack lunches, and focuses on creating relationships with the homeless--to let them know God has not forgotten them and that He has provided a way out for them. This team is not food drive focused, but rather "Relational Evangelism". This will begin the Light Under The Bridge Outreach Division.

o MISSIONS COMMITTEE: this committee will create mission outreach opportunities both locally and abroad for our 3rd phase residents to participate in

o FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: this committee will create special events to fundraise to support Light Under The Bridge. 90% of our residents are indigenous and we do NOT turn them away for a lack of funds. This committee is crucial in the financial support & stability of this ministry. This committee will not only create & implement fundraising special events on a regular schedule such as golf tournaments, fundraising dinners, auctions, etc..but also this committee will network with various community businesses to become monthly financial partners with us.

o GRANT WRITING COMMITTEE: this committee will be a team of experienced grant writers who volunteer their expertise and skills as grant writers to research and apply for grants. As a team, we can divide & conquer this awesome responsibility.

o NEW LIGHTHOUSE PLANTINGS COMMITTEE: this committee will seek out favorable landlord or property acquisition donation scenarios for the continued expansion of Light Under The Bridge. This committee will implement strategies, timelines, and structures to continue to implement & fulfill the vision of Light Under The Bridge in having not only women's lighthouses, but also men's lighthouses, and married/family lighthouses, eventually all established on a multi-arced campus like facility over the next 5 years.
