Mission Statement
To provide adults with an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling problems and crisis' in order to become productive members of society. By applying biblical principles, Light Under The Bridge endeavors to help people become mentally-sound, emotionally-balanced, socially-adjusted, physically-well, and spiritually-alive.
Getting Started
When contacting a Lighthouse for assistance, it is important that the individual who is seeking help contact the residential director. There will be an application process, including paperwork, an interview and a health screening. Call 941-348-5901for assistance.
Program Specifics
Our program has been developed around the Word of God, thereby offering an environment of structure, discipline, accountability, and responsibility.
ACCOUNTABILITY: The discipline of a believer (II Cor. 2:6) points to one of the important functions of the body of Christ-to hold its members accountable for how they conduct their lives. In the case mentioned here, the censure of the church caused the offender to repent and change his ways, restoring his spiritual life and bringing joy to the church. Accountability is directly related to the principle of submission. Every person must struggle with the natural tendency toward rebellion against God. Accountability involves allowing others to enter into that struggle with us. But that means that sometimes we must defer to the judgment or counsel of others, especially when they challenge us with clear cut scriptural truth or the wisdom of personal experience. Paul told the Ephesians that part of living in the will of the Lord involves "submitting to one another in the fear of God" Eph 5:21 Our attitudes toward accountability in general ultimately reflect our attitude toward accountability to God.

Life after Light Under The Bridge:
In order to be Blessed On Graduation, resident will have achieved the necessary requirements for graduation: secured employment, achieved savings for move, and finished commitment. LUTB graduates are always welcome at any LUTB church services and activities. Graduates may join in Lighthouse teachings with approval from director. Continuing involvement in the local church is critical to the on-going development of any believer, especially those who have come through the battleground of life controlling problems and crisis'.
