Light Under The Bridge                                 Transforming Tomorrows

Curriculum

Curriculum:

Our programs have been developed to encourage the resident to cope with everyday life issues. Residents typically rise early and have little free time, due to a busy schedule of:

  • Devotions
  • Bible Reading
  • Scripture Memorization
  • Discipleship Training
  • Work Therapy Projects
  • Meal Times
  • Church Services
  • Recreational Activities

Lives are transformed at LUTB by helping the total person with spiritual, emotional, physical, social and educational challenges to prepare them for their new life with Jesus Christ as their foundation.

  • Spiritually: LUTB knows that the resident's symptoms are indicative of deeper problems and conflicts; we understand that a new life in Christ will give them the power and ability to overcome these problems and live a more productive life.
  • Emotionally: The healing of past abuses is necessary. Bible studies enhance mental growth, renew the mind, and serve as a foundation for creating new lives.
  • Physically: We care for the physical needs of the residents. These needs--a safe haven, a drug-free environment, food, recreation, etc--are key factors to the resident's success in the program.
  • Socially: Residents learn to work through relationship problems with their peers and with their families at home. They will learn to apply the character qualities they learn in the classroom to their everyday lives.
  • Educationally: LUTB has developed a "whole healing" curriculum specifically designed to teach residents about the grace and sanctification of God and walking out a Christian life. This includes not only spiritual & emotional healing through the Word of God being taught, but also life skill courses to provide a more stable and productive life in their future.                        Additional Classes & Services Offered:Through our network collaboration partnerships with various community programs, resource centers, and churches, our residents  enjoy a full healing recovery process of mind, body, & spirit.  Residents participate in the following curriculum:
